We seek an experienced and passionate radio journalist to join our Nova Entertainment Network newsroom in a casual capacity, with opportunities to cover all networks.
You will work independently but will be supported by the national team to ensure news content is current, accurate, and consistent.
Location: Open to Sydney & Melbourne.
Working Arrangements:
Casual news readers are required to cover leave, holidays, and weekends (based on your availability).
You will collaborate with on-air teams, the National Newsroom Operations Manager, Producers, and Announcers to ensure news content aligns with brand style and broadcast standards.
You will develop, write, and edit on-air news bulletins and news podcasts like "The Update," maintaining the smooth operation of news broadcasts and ensuring compliance with broadcast codes of conduct.
About You:
Passionate about news and current affairs, with a presenting voice suited to the Nova brand, including opportunities to present news for NOVA, Smooth FM, and Star FM.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, creating and presenting bulletins every 30 minutes during breakfast and hourly during other times.
Accurate with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in broadcast systems.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Access to quality equipment.
