Kentish Community Services Ltd. is a community-based for-purpose organisation providing nurturing and educational care for children in the Northern Territory from birth to eighteen years.
Care is provided across various programs, including home-based family daycare and out-of-home care, centre-based long day care and outside-school-hours care, and most recently, NDIS.
We are a trusted member-based not-for-profit organisation with over 31 years of experience in the children's services industry.

The Role
We are recruiting for a self-motivated NDIS Activity Officer to work with our team of Out of Home carers, children, young people, and families located in and around the Katherine region.
The role is at least 20 hours per week, and the days/times can be negotiated.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Deliver and facilitate child and youth-focused community access and centre-based programs that promote learning, independence, and positive peer relationships.
Support children and youth in achieving their NDIS goals through structured and flexible activity programs.
Provide safe transport (with a Kentish vehicle) and support during outings, ensuring appropriate supervision and risk management practices are in place.
Assist in planning, developing, and implementing group and individual activity schedules.
Maintain accurate daily attendance records, progress notes, and incident reports.
Work collaboratively with the Service Manager, Support Coordinators, and families to ensure participants' needs are met.
Complete documentation, such as risk assessments, participant progress notes, and shift reports, promptly and accurately.
Support children and young people to access communities in remote areas.
Ensure children are connected to their culture and language.
Facilitate supervised contact between children and their families with a high level of report writing and documentation.
To Be Considered for the Role, the Incumbent Will Have:
Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of NDIS framework, person-centred support principles, and community inclusion.
Demonstrated experience in facilitating recreational, educational, or life-skills activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Current First Aid Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check.
National Police Clearance
Asthma and Anaphylaxis management training.
NT Driver's License
