Lead Surgical Nursing Excellence at Logan Hospital
Metro South Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join Ward 2H, Surgery and Critical Care Services at Logan Hospital. This permanent full-time Nurse Grade 6 position provides advanced clinical leadership in a 30-bed surgical unit specialising in ENT, Colorectal, Acute and General Surgical care. The role delivers expert, person-centred nursing care for patients with complex needs while supporting education, quality improvement and team leadership within a dynamic surgical environment.

Your new role:
In this advanced clinical role, you will provide expert surgical nursing care while leading and supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Deliver advanced clinical care and coordinate management of complex surgical patients
Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to nursing staff and students
Lead quality improvement, patient safety and practice development initiatives
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise in acute surgical nursing and a commitment to professional leadership and person-centred care.
Advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to lead, mentor and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to quality improvement, education and evidence-based practice

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
