Job Role Summary
Maintain the financial health of an organization to ensure its stakeholders and communities thrive.
Main Responsibilities
* Accurately reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet items.
* Prepare detailed financial statements and management reports to inform strategic decision-making.
* Monitor and report on grants and funding to ensure compliance.
* Prepare timely draft acquittals, ensuring proper cost allocation.
* Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts to align resources with organizational objectives.
Skills and Qualifications Required
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit context.
* High attention to detail, accuracy, and financial acumen.
* Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance or related field.
* Professional certification such as CPA or CA, or working towards obtaining one.
* 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and non-profit compliance obligations.
* Experience with financial systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred).
* Advanced skills in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project Management.
