The Opportunity
Based at our Hume location, you will be an integral part of our Fleet Fixed Asset Team, supporting our modular building design, construction, and hire services for clients across Canberra and the ACT. As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in upholding our high standards by ensuring all hire fleet units are properly maintained, repaired, and prepared for re-hire. You'll be responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of all processes, ensuring our buildings are delivered to clients in excellent condition and in line with their expectations. Your leadership will help ensure the building and maintenance processes are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Your Role
Provide leadership and direction to Operations Technicians and external contractors.
Manage all maintenance activities, including internal and external modifications and repairs such as installing cladding, windows, flooring, roofing, and performing thorough cleaning.
Ensure all hire fleet assets meet established quality and safety standards.
Monitor project progress and maintain alignment with timelines and delivery schedules.
Identify and resolve issues that arise during the delivery and installation process.
Lead teams to complete tasks within designated timeframes and project expectations.
About You
Proven experience in a Leading Hand role within the Construction, Manufacturing or Building sectors is highly regarded.
Confident in directing teams and assigning tasks.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Strong commitment to safety practices.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Current Drivers Licence & High Risk Licence.
A strong commitment to safety policies and procedures.
