To provide technical assistance, develop high-level designs, and review solution positioning, you will also select products and provide technical support for product demos, proof-of-concept setups, training sessions, and workshops as well as thought leadership activities. You will offer highly visible customer support by performing on-site installations, testing, and commissioning equipment. Evaluate operational quality, instruct customers in operation and maintenance, serve as a technical liaison for admin and technical matters, and interpret customer needs.
Making an Impact:
* Supporting external and internal customers as part of our team through providing product and technical support.
* Offering pre-sales technical support for developing and implementing complex products/applications/solutions for CommScope product lines, including modifying product applications to meet customer network configurations.
* Providing technical assistance through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of CommScope products.
* Training customers on products and applications.
* Providing post-sales technical expertise during installation, implementation, testing, and maintenance of CommScope products.
* Providing engineering support for introducing new products, consulting with customers to determine and document requirements, developing product specifications, and working with product managers on developing fit-for-purpose products.
* Contributing innovative ideas, customer perspectives, and research into product developments. Staying involved from concept to design to execution. Actively participating in market introduction and penetration strategies.
Exciting Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Telecommunication or relevant industry knowledge with at least 3-5 years of field/industry experience.
2. Proficiency in computer and office skills (Office365, Windows, Project); having knowledge of Creo, Draftsight, and Solidworks would be advantageous.
3. Experience with test equipment, including Optical Time Domain Reflectometers, Optical Power Meters, and Sources, strongly preferred.
4. Previous OSP engineering and post-sales OSP experience. Knowledge and experience with FOSC, FIST, and Tenio closures would be beneficial.
5. Previous experience/knowledge of FTTx network design.
6. Previous experience in splicing of ribbon and stranded fibre cables.
7. Experience in preparing and selecting products for RFI, RFP & RFT.
8. Skills in deal closing to assist the sales force, influencing tender responses technically through product expertise combined with strategic thinking in the commercial landscape.
9. Ability to create and deliver confident sales and training presentations with excellent customer-facing skills.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Strong interpersonal skills including establishing and maintaining relationships.
12. Advanced technical skill set and well-developed problem-solving abilities.
13. Excellent problem-solving skills are crucial in this role; drive for results in addressing customer challenges is essential.
14. Project management experience and understanding of Gantt charts required.
15. Possess a vehicle and current valid Australian driving license.
16. Possess a valid Industry White Card and an Open Communication Registration with all endorsements.
