Fulton Hogan's Tasmanian team is growing, including involvement in the Northeast Tasmania Road Maintenance contract on behalf of the Department of State Growth. We will deliver a network-wide maintenance contract of 1300km of State Roads Network, including some unsealed roads in northeast Tasmania. Activities include reactive routine maintenance, preventative pavement maintenance (asphalt resurfacing/rehabilitation, unsealed road and shoulder grading), and amenity improvement programs (grass mowing, weed spraying, street/footpath sweeping).
Responsibilities
* Be based out of the Mowbray Depot and contribute to field work across assigned areas.
* Perform reactive routine maintenance and rapid response tasks including pothole repairs, roadside furniture reinstatement, temporary pavement repairs, and drain cleaning.
* Assist with preventative pavement maintenance programs such as asphalt resurfacing/rehabilitation and unsealed road and road shoulder grading.
* Contribute to amenity improvement programs including grass mowing/slashing, weed spraying, and street/footpath sweeping.
* Engage in Minor Civil Works, Patrol tasks, Drainage (pits, pipes, open drains), and Traffic Control as needed.
* Hold relevant tickets and licenses as applicable; be willing to obtain/hold Construction Induction Card (White Card), MR Licence or higher, and Basic Worksite Traffic Management Ticket (desirable).
* Be flexible and adaptable for a multitude of tasks; maintain a strong commitment to safety.
* Available for overtime and call-out work day, night and weekends; be a reliable and hard-working team player.
* Participate in pre-employment processes as required (medical check including drug and alcohol screening).
* Engage with training and mentoring programs and industry partnerships as offered.
Qualifications
* Hold a Construction Induction Card (White Card) or be willing to obtain one.
* Have or be willing to obtain a MR Licence or greater.
* Hold or be willing to obtain a Basic Worksite Traffic Management Ticket (desirable).
* Have any valid tickets relevant to your area of expertise.
* Demonstrate strong safety commitment; ability to work overtime and be available for call-out as required.
* Be a strong team player, reliable, and hard-working.
