About the role
Simplex Elevators, a leading provider of elevator installation and maintenance services, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. This full-time role is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of elevators, ensuring our clients' vertical transportation systems operate efficiently and safely.
What you'll be doing
1. Conduct regular inspections and servicing of elevators to identify and address any issues
2. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning elevator components, such as motors, control systems, and safety devices
3. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs
4. Respond promptly to emergency callouts and work to resolve issues in a timely manner
5. Collaborate with the broader team to ensure the seamless operation of our clients' elevator systems
6. Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years of experience as an elevator maintenance technician or similar role
2. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of elevator components
3. Familiarity with elevator control systems and the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
4. A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required
5. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
6. Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
