About Us
We are a leading Not for Profit organisation with a service delivery area spanning from Wollongong to Eden, across to the Snowy Mountains.
Comprising 8 offices and over 75 employees, we own and manage over $1 billion worth of assets, approx. 2,300 dwellings housing nearly 5,000 people.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Provide housing assistance to individuals and families, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Form relationships with support agencies to enable effective collaboration.
• Ensure that properties are maintained to a high standard.
• Effectively manage rent and other receivables for all properties in the portfolio.
• Ensure that housing requirements are communicated effectively to both tenant and support services in the endeavour to support tenants to maintain their housing.
• Respond accordingly to any tenancy management issues and escalate as required.
• Willingness to undertake travel to support regional offices and/or undertake professional development activities.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Detailed understanding of the needs of people accessing Social and Affordable Housing, including clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
• Experience working with vulnerable people including those with complex needs.
• Strong engagement skills and ability to interact effectively and sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships in a non-judgemental and positive framework.
• Commitment to developing a positive workplace and cohesive team, in addition to fostering a safe work culture and to applying modern OHS practices.
Essential Qualifications and Licensing:
• Current NSW Drivers licence
• Current Working with Children Check (will be arranged by SCH)
• Criminal record check providing suitable clearance to work with vulnerable members of the community (will be arranged by SCH)
• Relevant tertiary qualifications:
• Certificate/Diploma in Social Housing / Community Services, or
• Real estate license, or
• Equivalent work experience.
