Overview
Systems Administrator role at Queensland Police Service.
Key Accountabilities
* Prioritise, diagnose, and investigate causes of incidents and resolve issues within a complex technological environment.
* Contribute to maintenance and installation. Monitor and report on infrastructure performance to enable service delivery. Resolve issues or refer to others for assistance.
* Identify, assess, and brief staff and management on new and emerging software technologies, products, methods, techniques, and services.
* Assist with introduction and use of technologies, methodologies, tools, and services to match current and future business requirements.
* Engage with vendors, other business units and management to contribute to successful working relationships that enhance effective Data Centre management.
* Document storage and server environments and related systems; formulate procedures and support material to aid Data Centre operations.
Role Requirements
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:
Highly Desirable
* Min 2 years' experience with enterprise environment both Windows OS and VMware.
* Min 2 years' experience with enterprise-grade hardware: servers, NAS/SAN, HCI infrastructure.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
Desirable Skills/requirements
* Scripting (PowerShell)
* Cloud hosting operations support (Azure, AWS)
* Strong understanding of the IT& T industry, as well as technology trends and related practices
* ITIL v3/v4 qualification.
* Basic network experience – administration – basic switches, router, and firewalls (Cisco isNice to have).
