Dispatch Coordinator
About the role
Based at the Yalumba Winery in Angaston and reporting to the Logistics Supervisor – Central Warehousing, this role is primarily responsible for the efficient and timely dispatch and delivery of finished goods to a national portfolio of customers.
Key Responsibilities include
· Manage and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely coordination with transport providers.
· Coordinate and monitor carrier pick-ups, communicating any special shipment instructions when required.
· Allocate carriers and resources to maintain effective delivery coverage across designated regions.
· Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen transport disruptions and maintain service continuity.
· Verify completion of delivery requirements to minimise errors and ensure successful dispatch.
· Perform freight reconciliation, invoice preparation and coding, along with general administrative support.
About You
Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role requires someone who works effectively within a team while contributing positively to team culture, and who can communicate clearly and efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable in changing work environments and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support reporting and administrative tasks. A background in logistics or supply chain operations is preferred.
