This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for twenty four (24) months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, subject to business requirements.

About the role

Are you interested in working at the Coroner's Court of W.A?

Do you want to learn about the workings of the Coronial system in W.A?

The Findings Clerk is responsible for preparing draft findings on behalf of the coroners. This includes reviewing coronial administrative cases, analysing the evidence presented within the files and preparing the final report for the endorsement of the respective Coroner.

The position also liaises with internal and external stakeholders in order to identify information gaps and gather evidence as required. It exercises all statutory powers of the Coroner's Registrar as determined by the Coroners Act 1996.

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

* Contact details of two (2) recent work related referees, with one (1) of them being your current Line Manager where possible.

Applicants found suitable but not recommended for this vacancy, may be considered for subsequent similar vacancies in the Department of Justice for a period of twelve (12) months, in accordance with Part 5 (General Appointment) of the Commissioner's Instructions No. 2: Filling a Public Sector Vacancy and Commissioner's Instructions and No. 39: Interim Arrangements to Fill Public Sector Vacancies. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered during this period.
