Applications are invited for the position of Relieving Operator, based at Council's Ashford Works Depot. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the satisfactory operation of any plant or vehicle on construction or maintenance work and general duties under supervision.

NSW School Certificate or acceptable education standard.
Trade Certificate in Plant Operation
OR
Statement of Attainment or other equivalent certification in operating road construction plant, including graders, rollers, scrapers, excavators, tractors, front end loader/ backhoes and front-end loaders.
Successful completion of a training course in the operation of heavy trucks conducted by a qualified driver assessor trainer
OR
Suitable experience in truck driving including haulage trucks and water tankers.
NSW Class HC Drivers Licence.
Traffic Controller Certificate.
SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').
Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker or equivalent Certificate
Skills and Experience
Experience operating road construction plant including graders, rollers, scrapers, excavators, loaders, tractors, backhoes and front-end loaders.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 2, Grade 4. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,044.00 to $1,114.75 gross per week. In addition, a Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $0.498 per hour will be paid where applicable.
