**The Organisation**
Our client is a large manufacturing business based in the Lockyer Valley. They are a family run company with a strong history in Australia. There is an opportunity for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to join their established team on-site.
**The Role**
The Production Manager is responsible for managing the material conversion process performance within a Packhouse to ensure the delivery of agreed objectives / targets and continuous improvements across the business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example by setting high standards and working towards the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Foster an environment where safety, quality, productivity, and continual improvement are part of everyday activities.
- Be engaged in the development and maintenance of all processes, procedures, and work instructions for Packhouse Operations to ensure alignment with Operational Plans.
- Be accountable for overall operations of production area as applicable.
- Actively support and participate in team meetings such as operational and supply chain meetings, toolbox talks and training sessions.
- Partner with Packhouse Manager to establish and utilise metric, periodic review and planning routines across the balanced scorecard to engage personnel and improve performance.
**About You**
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in any of the following (or a related discipline); Manufacturing, Engineering or Business
**Experience**:
- 5+ years' experience working in a food manufacturing environment (agricultural crop conversion / scheduling experience will be highly regarded) in an equivalent or Production Manager development position;
Skills & Abilities:
- Sound knowledge of Safety and Environmental Standards;
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP);
- Sound knowledge of quality systems (e.g. HACCAP, GMP);
- Confident, hardworking team player with excellent organisation, technical, and leadership skills;
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, manage projects and deadlines;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment;
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
