This position is location‑negotiable across the Mid North Coast Local Health District.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant within the Mid North Coast Local Health District Hospital in the Home (HITH) Service, you will provide expert clinical consultancy, leadership, and advanced clinical practice in accordance with IB2017_002 CNC 2 Domains. You will play a key role in promoting contemporary, evidence‑based nursing and midwifery practice across the district.
The MNCLHD HITH Service delivers safe, high‑quality hospital‑level care in a client's place of residence. This innovative model enhances patient outcomes through multidisciplinary, integrated, and virtually enabled care, while supporting inpatient capacity and reducing unnecessary emergency department presentations and hospital admissions. The Clinical Nurse Consultant supports the strategic direction of MNCLHD and aligns with the NSW Health Policy Directive PD2025_004.
About You
You are a highly skilled and experienced nursing professional with a passion for delivering advanced clinical care in a hybrid, patient‑centred model. You thrive both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with patients, carers, and services across the care continuum.
You Will Bring
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* At least 5 years full‑time equivalent post‑registration experience
* Postgraduate qualifications, plus a minimum of 3 years full‑time experience in the relevant clinical field
* Demonstrated expertise in providing high‑level clinical consultancy and leadership
* Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary, integrated care environment
