The Retail Manager supports the Senior Centre Manager in day-to-day operations, administration, and overall management of the centre, focusing on customer experience, supporting retail partners, and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Centre Operations - Oversee daily operations, ensure safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards; support sustainability initiatives and resolve operational issues.
- Tenant & Lease Management - Build relationships with tenants, onboarding, lease compliance; assist with renewals and negotiations with leasing team.
- Customer Experience & Community Engagement - Monitor customer satisfaction; collaborate with marketing on events and community programs.
- Financial Oversight - Assist with budget management, monitor expenses, identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
- Marketing Support - Assist Marketing team with campaigns and seasonal events.
- Reporting & Compliance - Prepare performance reports; ensure health, safety, regulatory compliance; support audit readiness.
- Administration - Maintain leases, financials, compliance docs; manage rental collections, debtors, insurance matters.
- Leasing Activities - Support leasing strategy and compliance; assist casual leasing and identify new income opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience in property or retail administration; passion for retail property industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills; ability to problem solve and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Certificate in Real Estate Practice or working towards it.
