The Opportunity
We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial performance of our projects across modular manufacturing and construction delivery.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for:
* Protecting and driving project margins
* Leading contract strategy and risk management
* Overseeing the estimating function (via Estimating team)
* Aligning commercial outcomes with financial and operational performance
You will act as the critical link between Sales, Estimating, Operations and Finance, ensuring projects are commercially sound from tender through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Own commercial outcomes across all projects, including margin performance, cost control, and risk management
* Lead contract negotiation, administration, claims, and variations
* Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
* Lead and mentor the Estimating team
* Review and challenge pricing, assumptions, and risk allowances
* Approve tenders from a commercial and risk perspective
* Define margin expectations and commercial positioning
* Support major bids and strategic opportunities
* Oversee cost tracking, forecasting, and cost-to-complete accuracy
* Ensure alignment between project performance and financial reporting
* Lead and develop the commercial and estimating teams
* Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance
About You
* 8–12+ years' experience in commercial or contract management
* Strong experience across construction, mining, or modular building
* Proven ability managing large-scale projects ($50M+)
* Deep understanding of contracts (AS, D&C, EPC)
* Strong capability in cost control, forecasting, and commercial risk
