ETA Group are seeking experienced Special Class Welders for a large-scale industrial/process construction project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
This project involves high-pressure piping, gas services, and specialised mechanical installation, operating under strict safety and QA/QC standards.
This is a long-term construction and commissioning scope suited to welders experienced in critical service pipework and working to multiple WPS.
Project Details
* FIFO Roster: 21 days on / 7 days off (FIFO)
* Shifts: 10.5 hours per day
* Location: Pilbara, WA
* Flights incl. from Brisbane & Sydney & Melbourne
* Duration: Ongoing construction and commissioning phase
* Rate: $65/hr + penalties + site allowances
Scope of Works
* High-pressure process and gas service pipework
* Carbon steel and stainless steel welding
* Pipe fabrication and installation
* Structural and mechanical welding to engineering drawings
* Reading and interpreting isometrics, weld maps and specifications
* Completion of QA/QC documentation, weld traceability and ITPs
* Working within strict safety, quality and environmental systems
Mandatory Weld Tests (Project Specific) Candidates must be qualified and competent in the following weld tests:
* 6" Carbon Steel – 6G position
* 2" Carbon Steel – 6G position
* 2" Stainless Steel – 6G position
All welding must be performed in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and meet project QA/QC requirements. Candidates must be willing to complete weld testing prior to or on site as required.
Minimum Requirements
* Australian recognised Special Class Welder qualification
* Demonstrated experience in process plant, industrial or high-risk construction environments
* White Card
* C Class Driver's Licence
* Full Australian working rights
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical, D&A and background checks
* Strong commitment to safety and procedural compliance
Highly Regarded
* Experience with high-pressure gas or hydrogen-related systems
* FIFO mining or large infrastructure project experience
* Confined Space and Working at Heights
* Strong QA/QC and documentation discipline
