About the Role
KBSS is seeking expressions of interest from Pilbara based personnel, suitably experienced in leading mining and infrastructure maintenance and projects.
The Superintendent Mining & Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and assisting all KBSS project operations at assigned Rio Tinto Pilbara sites, to ensure its safe, effective, and efficient delivery. This will involve estimating, planning, preparing, coordinating labour and liaising with key stakeholders.
Reporting to the General Manager - Operations and leading a diverse team you will:
* Manage the performance of all KBSS labour and subcontractors on KBSS scopes at Rio Tinto's site.
* Identify and evaluate on project risks and provide contingencies to be allowed for in the execution of our works
* Assist in the preparation of quotes and tenders, as well as meeting with key stakeholders to ensure a good client relationship
* Forward planning of works and scheduling and management of new projects
* Liaising with the Supervisors and the Mobilisations team to ensure crews are ready for the scopes.
* Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate your successes leading diverse teams to deliver exceptional safety and operational results, as well as have:
* A strong understanding of the responsibilities of the Superintendent position, with experience in risk management.
* Experience working in the Mining & Energy Projects field
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and set direction.
* Exposure to all levels of organisation, and the ability to develop strong professional relationships with multiple functions and stakeholders, including senior leadership (internal and external).
* A demonstrated action-oriented working and leadership style, reliable with high attention to detail and a positive attitude.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 3 years Superintendent experience in the field or equivalent role.
* Strong mechanical background required with Shutdown / SMP project experience preferred.
* Strong HSE awareness and ability to foster a positive safety culture
* Right to Work in Australia
* Current Drivers Licence
* Construction White or Blue Card
* Current Police Check or be willing to obtain
