About The Role

Our Information Technology Team is expanding and we are on the look out for a tech savvy professional who is driven by customer satisfaction.

The primary responsibilities of this position include effectively maintaining Wollondilly Shire Councils (WSC) desktop hardware, software, Smartphones and Tablets. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Lead, the position works collaboratively to deliver the outcomes identified in the WSC Digital Innovation, Information and Technology Strategy through research, technical contribution and professional, customer-focused technology support.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

* Completion, or near completion of tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or other relevant field.
* Extensive experience in providing technology user support.
* Good interpersonal skills to allow effective written & verbal communication with all levels of staff.
* Ability to work under limited supervision - exercising initiative and judgement to solve problems as they occur.
* Strong grounding in Microsoft operating systems and applications.
* Sound understanding of network architecture and protocols.
