The Role
* Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Accountant you will assist with month-end close activities, ensure accurate financial record keeping and support the reconciliation process.
* Duties will include:
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings
* Complete revenue and expense allocations across cost centres
* Assist to maintain and update fixed asset registers
* Complete reviews of financial data to understand drivers, trends and profit margins
* Support invoice preparation and review for accuracy and coding
* Ensure timely and accurate data entry and processing of financial transactions
* Respond to routine financial queries from internal stakeholders
* Support the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Controller on audits and financial reporting
The Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or ideally CPA or CA qualification (or nearing completion)
* 3+ years' experience in a finance or accounting support role within a large and or complex organisation
* Understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles
* Intermediate Excel skills
* Experience with an ERP
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Adaptable and proactive, with a strong focus on process improvement
