Position overview
The Procurement and Contracts Pricing Analyst leads the pricing analysis and financial aspects of strategic and complex ICT, managed services, and scientific equipment procurements and contract management across the Bureau. This role is crucial for the effectiveness of the Procurement & Contracts function, ensuring compliance with legislation, government policies, and enterprise processes, balancing strategic priorities and governance to support the Bureau's strategy.
The role involves leading the development and modeling of financial and non-financial inputs during procurement and contract management, including RFx development, statement of requirements, pricing, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and drafting of pricing terms, from contract initiation to variations.
The analyst also supports procurement reporting, maintains the contract register, and utilizes PowerBI for reporting purposes.
The position reports to the Manager, Commercial and Contracts, and collaborates with Procurement Operations and other teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates high-level critical thinking, problem-solving, influencing skills, and subject matter expertise, with the ability to work independently.
Role responsibilities
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring safety for yourself and others.
* Providing leadership in pricing, commercial, and financial evaluation of tenders, including scenario analysis for evaluation reports.
* Supporting pricing analysis and financial inputs for negotiations and briefing papers.
* Collaborating with negotiation teams, technical experts, and legal advisors.
* Leading and delivering expert pricing analysis and acting as a source of pricing contract interpretation.
* Building and maintaining strong stakeholder and supplier relationships, managing inquiries, issues, disputes, and negotiations.
* Supporting negotiations for RFTs and contract variations, ensuring compliance with deal parameters.
* Contributing to executive briefing and approval documentation.
* Advising project teams on commercial and contract management processes.
* Maintaining and improving the contract register and supporting reporting activities using PowerBI.
Merit pool
A merit pool will be established through the selection process, which may be used to fill similar roles within 18 months.
