About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity that requires an experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage projects end to end, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and meeting all statutory and environmental requirements.
You will have a variety of tasks including designing and building new infrastructure, managing consultants and contractors, leading major steel repairs and plant refurbishments, developing business cases and scopes of work, preparing conceptual designs and feasibility studies, coordinating shutdown planning and liaising with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
* Developing detailed designs and implementing new infrastructure such as pump stations.
* Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
* Leading technical repair and maintenance activities for heavy industry equipment.
* Coordinating audits, risk assessments and change management processes.
* Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
About You
You must be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 5 years' experience in mining or heavy industry. You should have strong technical capability and project management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office, and familiarity with Bluebeam and AutoCAD. Eligibility for National Engineering Registration or Chartered status is preferred.
