- Canva's incredible growth is underpinned by Cloud! This role will play a central role in both the Tech Sourcing Team, within Procurement and Finance, and the Cloud FinOps Team (CFT), a cross-functional team with Cloud Engineering and Finance. Officially you will join the Procurement team, with a dotted-line into the CFT.- As such you will be pivotal in supporting the CFT's mission to provide teams with visibility and drive optimisation of cloud costs. The CFT is a new team on a quest to developing a culture that empowers Canvanauts to improve value for every dollar spent in the Cloud.- The role will strive to tackle complex business challenges within a fast paced, growing, and visible business area. Have unique access to Canva's Engineering and Product teams, supporting them to reach insights others might not be able to make.**What you'll do**:
- Expand Canva's Cloud procurement capability, serving as procurement SME relating to Cloud FinOps
- Provide increased levels of maturity to how we source, negotiate and manage Canva's Cloud supply base - promoting principles of the FinOps Foundation throughout
- Continually looking for ways to improve the tech procurement process, working closely with peers in Engineering, Legal, Security, Privacy, Finance to provide Canvanauts a first class experience
- Drive supplier relationship management
- Owner of all of Canva's Cloud related Zip requests
**We'd love it if you had**:
- Experience working within or supporting a Cloud FinOps team
- Proven experience negotiating technology agreements - ideally Cloud EDPs or sizeable enterprise SaaS
- Approaching negotiations based on well-thought through planning and strategy to ensure effective outcomes
- Customer-centric approach to tech procurement, embodying a SaaS-first mentality by understanding how technology and automation can deliver streamlined operations and first class user experience
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate deals to senior leadership
