About the opportunity
As a Technical Services Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in the end‑to‑end tendering process—working on diverse underground mining projects across Australia and potentially overseas.
You'll collaborate closely with senior leaders and technical specialists to deliver competitive, high‑value bids.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and working on projects valued up to $50 M.
About the role Tendering & Project Handover
Prepare, review, and submit comprehensive tenders from concept to contract award
Conduct site visits, quantity take-offs, productivity planning, and cost estimation
Review contracts and ensure all client requirements are met
Lead tender reviews with senior stakeholders
Manage project award handovers, including equipment, manpower, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering approvals
Project & Cost Management
Coordinate client correspondence pre‑ and post‑tender
Prepare claims, variations, and cost code reports
Provide ongoing project support, including monthly cost and productivity reviews
Participate in project completion and performance reviews
Support asset management planning and equipment overhaul priorities
Track asset movements across projects
Prepare equipment purchase comparisons and utilisation recommendations
Determine equipment charge‑out rates
Develop mine and project‑specific methodologies
Review ventilation and statutory requirements
Undertake studies on mine access and ore extraction methods
Ensure all tenders meet safety, environmental, and quality standards About you Degree in Mining Engineering
Strong underground mining experience
Experience in estimation or tendering
Experience delivering tenders up to $50 million
Strong working knowledge of Deswik and/or Auto CAD (highly desirable) Benefits Work on large‑scale, technically complex mining projects
