The Role
We're seeking a Casual Chef de Partie / Demi Chef to join our kitchen brigade. You'll run a section during service, support mise en place to a high standard, and uphold our kitchen culture of consistency, clean-down excellence, and safety.
What You'll Do
* Lead or support a section (grill, larder, fry, or pass) during busy services
* Execute dishes to spec, maintain prep par levels, and manage docket flow
* Keep a spotless, efficient station; follow food safety and hygiene practices
* Collaborate with the team on seasonal menus and specials
* Participate in lineup, tastings, and post-service reviews
What You'll Bring
* Experience as a CDP/Demi in a quality, high-volume kitchen
* Solid fundamentals: knife skills, time management, section organisation
* Calm under pressure, great communication, and a team-first mindset
* Understanding of HACCP/food safety; current Food Safety cert (or willingness to obtain)
* Availability for nights/weekends; Australian working rights
Nice to Have
* Experience with Asian-inspired cuisine and charcoal/woodfire or wok work
* Formal cookery qualifications
