About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Factory Supervisor to oversee daily production in a busy joinery workshop. This hands-on leadership role involves managing workflow from set-out to dispatch, troubleshooting machinery, and ensuring every project meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality. Perfect for a trade-qualified cabinet maker ready to step into a leadership position or a proven workshop leader looking for a stable, long-term role.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Supervise day-to-day factory operations, ensuring projects run smoothly and on schedule
* Troubleshoot machinery and coordinate maintenance as required
* Lead, mentor, and support cabinet makers across all production stages
* Inspect and sign off completed items before dispatch
* Review drawings and work orders for accuracy and feasibility
* Manage scheduling for set-out, production, and installations
* Oversee purchasing, materials, and stock control
* Approve timesheets and monitor productivity
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised factory in line with OHS standards
* Ensure delivery loading and dispatch are completed accurately and on time
Skills & Experience:
* Trade-qualified Cabinet Maker (or equivalent hands-on experience)
* Proven experience leading or supervising a joinery or manufacturing team
* Strong understanding of joinery construction methods and machinery operation
* Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency
* Basic computer skills for scheduling, planning, and documentation
