About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Junior Estimator to join our team and be responsible for:
* Ensure that estimates are executed in accordance with the client's specifications or design brief and the Company's procedures.
* Ensure all tender deadlines are met.
* Review tender documentation issued by clients and derive a thorough understanding of clients' requirements.
* Undertake or arrange the undertaking of quantity take offs and procurement activities.
* Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for tender submissions within the scope of appropriate drawings, specifications, quantities and cost data.
* Prepare a brief execution proposal and discuss with operational personnel and amend as necessary.
* Analyse and review successful and unsuccessful tenders.
* Ensure that upon award of works that contract documents are reviewed prior to acceptance.
* Assist with project start-up and handover to project management team.
* Registration of tender.
* Prepare tender files and submission.
* Copy tender documents and issue.
* File tender submission and documents.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Relevant Tertiary qualifications, B.E. or equivalent.
* Minimum three to five years estimating experience in the construction or building industry with sound costing analytical skills or equivalent site-based experience.
* Proficient in planning, organising and working to timelines.
* Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements.
* Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others.
* Proficiency in estimating software ie Estimate One, Cubit Estimating & Cubit Select.
