Fitzroy neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar is looking for a Kitchen Porter.
The role requires availability for three shifts per week, including Friday and Saturday nights from 5 pm to 11:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Washing of dishes and cutlery during service;
Washing of pots, pans and utensils;
Taking care of waste: organic food waste, recyclables and general rubbish; emptying, replenishing and cleaning the bins; washing down the external bin store; taking the bins to the street;
Cleaning and sanitising of Pot Wash and Kitchen, including sinks, walls, floors and mats;
Food prep jobs to assist the kitchen (e.g., washing vegetables, peeling roasted peppers, picking herbs from the garden), with scope to grow in this role depending on interest and ability.
