**About the Role**:
We are looking for an experienced **Chief Kitchen Steward** who is capable in coordinating all aspects of stewarding operations back of house at the venue. The Chief Kitchen Steward is responsible for;
- Supervising and coordinating activities of pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen workers,
- Supervising and coordinating purchases, kitchen supplies, and equipment.
- Inspecting kitchens, workrooms, storerooms and equipment for cleanliness and order.
- Coordinating work of non-cooking kitchen and storeroom workers engaged in activities such as dishwashing and storage and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies.
- Work with Executive Chef & Sous Chef in regards to banquet arrangements for food service, equipment and staff.
- Devise methods for improving efficiency and guard against theft and wastage,
- Take inventories of crockery, silverware, and glassware and also reports shortages and requisitions replacement of equipment.

With substantial experience as a kitchen hand, you will:
- Be a leader with the proven ability to delegate and lead others in a customer-focused environment
- Have strong coordination, time management and problem solving skills allow you to effectively manage workloads, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills assist you to develop positive relationships with colleagues, site contractors, community and commercial partners
- Have proactive, and solutions-focused approach to work to deliver across this broad and diverse role
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends due to nature of events calendar
