Job Overview
Health Care Support Worker within ABUHB at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan working on Tyleri Ward. The role is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under review within the Health Board as part of a national review and may, in future, progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will ensure you are kept informed and will support you through any changes, including discussing relevant training requirements.
Main Duties
Provide general medical and rehabilitation support to patients, working closely with Advanced Nurse Practitioners and the Community Resource team. Deliver high standards of care for patients, their families and carers within a hospital setting. Assist with patient care activities, maintain clinical quality and support the nursing team.
Requirements & Qualifications
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience within a domiciliary setting.
* Full flexibility to cover rotational shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proven ability to provide high-quality patient care.
* Proficiency with basic computer skills and enthusiasm for change management and supporting colleagues.
* English and/or Welsh language proficiency is welcomed.
* Eligible to work in the UK; sponsorship not provided.
