Help provide a warm, welcoming environment for staff and residents alike as a Kitchen/Servery/Cleaning Attendant at our Alice Ross-King Care Centre and Gordon Lodge facilities in Bull Creek. As a Kitchen/Servery/Cleaning Attendant with RAAFA, you will work closely and collaboratively with other teams and clinical staff to ensure the needs and desires of the residents are met efficiently and effectively. Whether it's maintaining a clean and tidy state within the Residential Care Centre, providing clean linen and personal items or assisting with the provision of meals, drinks and snacks, you will contribute to the maintenance of a home-like environment for our residents.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term, casual or permanent) that arise within the next 6 months from date of first appointment.

This role as a Kitchen/Servery/Cleaning Attendant will see you:
* Performing all food handling duties in accordance with Foodsafe Hygiene Regulations
* Communicate with residents and staff to ensure that meals and snacks provided meet quality and choice expectations
* Assist residents with choices from the menu as published
* Perform cleaning duties as per the kitchen cleaning schedules and documenting when duties are completed
* Collect, launder, fold and return linen for residents as per the cleaning schedule
* Ensure the laundry is clean, tidy and equipment is used safely and correctly
* Contribute to a safe working environment by identifying or reporting all incidents, accidents and hazards
* Contribute to maintaining a home-like environment for residents.
About the Facilities:
Set on 11 hectares of land in Bull Creek, theAlice Ross-King Care Centreis a 102-bed Residential Care Centre located on the banks of Lake Howard at RAAFA's Air Force Memorial Estate. The contemporary two-storey care centre was created to maximise natural lighting within the centre and capitalise on its serene lakeside location. With stunning lakeside views and a natural parkland home to many native birds including ducks and swans, where could be a better place to work!

This 62-bed Residential Aged Care Centre offers permanent, respite and secure dementia care in the dementia wing known as Rose Cottage. About you:
* Previous experience working in a hospitality environment
* Ability to work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
* Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families and staff.
What you need to do:

* Be eligible to work in Australia
* Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one
* Be up to date with your COVID 19 and flu vaccinations
