About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant in nursing who has completed their first year of a Bachelor of Nursing.
Your main duties will include:
Using a patient-centred approach to patient assessment in conjunction with the Registered Nurse
Performing vital signs, collecting height and patient weights, performing urinalysis and blood glucose levels
Giving direct patient care to patients by attending to activities of daily living such as showering, mouth care, shaving, and toileting needs
Providing assistance to patients with feeding, positioning, mobilisation and pressure area care
About You
Successfully completed the first year of a Bachelor of Nursing Degree at a recognised tertiary institution with evidence of a pass grade in all clinical components and currently enrolled in the second year of a Bachelor of Nursing degree; or Certificate III in Health Services Assistant
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of customer service culture in health care
Willingness to embrace the hospital's core values, mission and vision and to incorporate into practice
