Battery & Solar Electrical Inspector – Broome

The Role
We’re seeking a Battery & Solar Electrical Inspector to join Horizon Power in Broome. You will be responsible for battery/solar and electrical installation inspections on consumer installations, ensuring they meet the highest safety, Regulatory and standards compliance.
Daily, you’ll rely on your iPad for inspections, reporting, and real-time compliance tracking, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the field.
Your role will also include leading investigations into serious electrical incidents — including shocks, fires, and non-compliance — under WA’s Electricity Licensing Regulations 1991, contributing to a safer energy network across the Kimberley.
This position is regionally based with occasional weekly or short inland trips.

What you’ll need
- WA Electrical Worker’s Licence – required for Inspector designation
- Eligibility to be designated as an Electrical Inspector (Electrical)
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards, Regulations and testing and checking
- Experience or willingness to complete specialist training in solar and battery inspection, testing, and compliance
- Strong proficiency in iPads and mobile reporting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
