Senior Estimator A well-established civil construction company with a 50 year history is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its team. This medium-sized contractor has a strong reputation for successfully delivering a diverse range of civil projects and is known for its commitment to quality and integrity. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing detailed and accurate estimates for civil projects ranging from $100k to $15M. This role involves working closely with a Quantity Surveyor who will provide assistance throughout the tendering and estimating process. They work in the local council space but also the major infrastructrue industry, pricing up packages of works on major infrastructure projects including level crossing removals, MRPV and mega projects. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will prepare and submit competitive and accurate tenders. The role requires the analysis of tender documents to identify project risks, opportunities, and special conditions. The individual will manage and develop strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. He or she will work collaboratively with the project delivery team to ensure a seamless handover from pre-construction to project execution. The Senior Estimator will also be expected to mentor and guide junior staff members and lead the company's overall estimating and tendering process. About the Candidate The company is looking for a candidate with proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the civil construction industry. The person should have a strong understanding of the civil construction market, including current rates and best practices.
