Role Details:

(YARS) – Adventure Activity Instructor – C&YW
role is a unique opportunity to make a real difference. Working mainly across the
Adelaide metropolitan area, with opportunities for regional travel
, you will keep young people engaged through adventurous and purposeful activities designed to inspire participation, confidence and connection. Supporting young people in Out of Home Care, you will help build resilience, teamwork and self-belief while creating positive, motivating experiences that support brighter futures.

In this role, you will

* Lead engaging activities that promote wellbeing and personal growth
* Review and improve programs based on young people's needs
* Supervise young people in a behaviour support environment
* Keep accurate records and contribute to reporting

To be successful
You will bring experience working with vulnerable children or young people, with the ability to build trust, show empathy and create positive connections. You understand the impact of trauma and can adapt your approach to support young people in a respectful and supportive way.

You will have knowledge of child and adolescent development and experience in delivering or supporting programs for individuals and groups. You can assess risk, apply behaviour change approaches and use sound judgement to keep young people safe and engaged.

You will work well independently and as part of a team, communicate clearly and build strong relationships with colleagues and partners. You are organised, flexible and committed to inclusive and culturally sensitive practice. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Requirements:

* SA Driver's Licence (P2 or above)
* SA Working with Children Check
* First Aid Certificate – HLTAID012 (Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting)
* Ability to complete an 8-week, full-time induction program
* Availability to work AM, PM, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Visa Requirements:

* You must hold a valid Australian work visa with at least six months remaining from the contract end date.
* If you hold a Student subclass 500 Visa, you must not be subject to the 48-hour per fortnight work restriction.
