**Key focus areas**
The Assistant Leader of Learning English:
- Contributes to the delivery of the system strategic intent and learning agenda within the local school context
- Exercises Catholic leadership and fosters the faith formation of students and staff
- Leads the implementation of the learning framework, agreed pedagogical practice, and school action plan including literacy and numeracy goals
- Builds the capacity of teachers through professional learning, feedback, mentoring and coaching
- Collaborates across areas of responsibility to provide integrated, personalised, and experiential learning opportunities
- Ensures relevance and rigour in learning experiences and quality teaching through ongoing research and analysis of data to support evidence-based practice
- Contributes to a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility across the school
- Tracks, reports and meets compliance requirements of assigned areas of responsibility and components of registration and accreditation in accordance with school, system and legislative requirements
Typical Experience and Qualifications:
- Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching
- Demonstrated experience or capacity to lead a high performing team in a school setting
- Deep knowledge in English disciplines
- Working with Children Check
- Australian resident or citizen
