Experienced Locum Speech Pathologist required for this lovely regional health service based in regional Victoria, less than two hours from Melbourne.
Join an Allied Health team that includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Podiatry, Social Work, AOD, Counselling, Social Support Groups, AHAs.
The locum is to start in July for 12 weeks + possible extension.
The caseload will cover:
- Outpatients (mostly adult with some preschool age paediatric)
- 1 day per week at their sister site a short drive away
- The adult caseload is a combination of neurology (eg stroke, brain injury rehab), general medical, progressive neurological (eg Parkinsons, MS, dementia).
- The paediatric caseload is preschool age, mild-moderate articulation and phonology, stuttering, early language development.
Paediatric feeding caseload seen by current Grade 2, opportunities for upskilling if wanted.
- Paediatrics: supporting families with referral for NDIS for global delays, impairments in multiple areas – these clients are referred out to private speech pathology for long term therapy once have NDIS package in place.
- Block model of therapy (assessment and up to 6 x sessions of therapy as required).
- A driver’s license is required as positions may require home visits.
- FREE accommodation available – it is preferable to have car to travel to and from work.
- Locum rates based on experience $$.
- $200 towards travel.

A popular holiday destination, with quaint rural villages, bustling holiday towns, rolling hills and world renowned surf breaks.
Close to Philip Island and driving distance to Melbourne.
