What you will be doing:
• Leading and coordinating the design, implementation and evaluation of housing and homelessness programs and initiatives, using a human centred design approach and co-design processes.
This includes improving housing access and pathways for customers, while also ensuring that programs and initiatives deliver effective outcomes, represent value for money and address broader social and economic objectives.
• Establishing effective partnerships and influencing others in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that improve the department's capacity to respond to the housing needs of vulnerable customers.
• Work flexibly in a fast-paced, diverse environment, embracing agile methodology to oversee and provide guidance to develop and implement project plans, deliver timely, high quality project outcomes, manage risks and emerging issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee and prepare high quality project documentation, reports, correspondence, briefing notes, submissions and other documentation.
• Develop and maintain effective networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government and non-government agencies to deliver project outcomes.
• Oversee and provide guidance to the team to undertake accurate research and maintain contemporary knowledge of person-centred service delivery policy and practice.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the team, identifying clear objectives and deadlines, provide support and guidance to team members.
• Manage staff, physical and financial resources in accordance with relevant legislation, strategic objectives, Queensland Government and departmental policies and contemporary best practice standards.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
