What will the role of Senior Legal Counsel at a high-growth consumer goods business mean for you?
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will work as part of a well-trained, high performance In-House team which the wider business relies on when making strategic commercial decisions.
You will develop your legal and commercial skills through exposure to a wide variety of legal tasks, providing the business units, who will rely on your expertise, with commercial advice.
This role will provide learning opportunities in commercial contracts, employment law, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory compliance, marketing approvals and business advisory matters.
Working closely with the General Counsel, you will support a national business operating across manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and sales functions. You will play a key role in helping the business navigate legal risks while enabling commercial growth.

What work will you do?
In addition to what's mentioned above, you will:
* Provide advice and support on drafting of commercial contracts and other legal documents;
* Develop and grow relationships with internal stakeholders across legal, procurement, marketing and operations;
* Cover regulatory updates and flag material regulation changes that can affect the business;
* Assist on strategic growth projects and investments;
* Supporting on dispute and employment-related matters;
* Manage external legal counsel;
* Support intellectual property protection and privacy compliance obligations; and
* Assist with internal compliance initiatives and legal training across the business.
What type of person will be successful?
* Admitted as a solicitor in Australia;
* Between 5–10 years PQE in corporate and commercial law;
* Some in-house experience would be beneficial;
* A willingness to work across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters;
* Excellent verbal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders;
* Commercial mindset and a drive to deliver on high standards; and
* A willingness to work hard and take on new challenges within the legal team.
