About the Role
* We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead our distribution network team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including overhead/underground lines and substations up to 66kV across Victorian distribution networks.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team that values innovation and teamwork. You will work closely with our technical services manager to coordinate design activities and projects, and have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contribution to the coordination of design team activities and projects.
* Design work, including overhead/underground lines and substations up to 66kV.
* Tender preparation and quotations.
* Peer review participation and project direction.
* Opportunity to work with NEARA, GPS and LIDAR technologies.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A bachelor's or diploma in electrical engineering (advantageous but not required).
Deep knowledge of VIC electrical distribution networks, including URD, sub-transmission, and public lighting.
Established consultancy experience in overhead and underground design projects relating to the power industry.
Proficient working knowledge of software programs such as Auto CAD and/or NEARA.
Project management background highly regarded.
