Integrated Care Services is looking for a motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Bundaberg team. In this key role, you'll provide advanced clinical care, support service development, and guide best practice while making a real difference in the lives of clients across the region.
Your Opportunity:
* To deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services and professional expertise within the Integrated Care Services, Bundaberg.
* Work autonomously within the multidisciplinary Integrated Care team to manage, coordinate and provide optimal, responsive and flexible Occupational Therapy services in acute and community settings.
* The position will focus on preventing inappropriate and avoidable admissions by supporting the needs of the patient, their family and significant others through the transition from an acute care environment to the home setting.
What we're looking for:
* Demonstrated ability to provide high level Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills within Integrated Care Services with work of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require expansion, adaptation, or modification, with infrequent need for direct supervision.
* An extensive knowledge of medical, surgical, and chronic disease conditions which impact on a person's functional ability to live in the community and demonstrated ability to use this knowledge to assist client's to safely remain within their own home.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, using high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills for effective verbal and written communication with interdisciplinary team staff, clients, and families/carers.
* Demonstrated effective time management skills to prioritise clients across both acute and community settings to provide essential occupational therapy service and promote timely discharge from hospital.
* Demonstrated ability to provide clinical and operational supervision and support to less experienced staff.
* A broad understanding of the continuum of care spanning from the acute inpatient to the community setting including the impact of Government and Non-Government agencies and services that are within the Bundaberg Health Service.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* This role works within the Integrated Care Service and may be required to work across the other service areas within this broader team.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $13,113 p.m., comprising salary between $4, $5,286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment until 23rd August 2026 with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy).
