This is a permanent part-time position within the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD). As an experienced Instrument Technician Educator, you will provide advanced technical expertise and education to CSSD staff.
* Expert knowledge of Reusable Medical Devices tracking systems and Infection Prevention and Control protocols is essential.
* Develop competency assessments and ongoing professional development programs for CSSD staff.
* Supervise new staff and recently graduated Instrument Technicians, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver expert training and education to Instrument Technicians.
* Provide high-level expertise on electronic tracking systems and quality assurance.
* Supervise and guide CSSD staff in ensuring quality standards are met.
* Conduct competency assessments for Grade 1-4 Instrument Technicians.
* Participate in the development and education of all Instrument Technicians.
* Troubleshoot equipment and system issues, including loan equipment processing.
