Aboriginal Health Practitioner Position
We are seeking an Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will work with the Aboriginal community and provide flexible, holistic, and culturally sensitive drug and alcohol services.
The primary purpose of this position is to liaise and work with the Aboriginal community and Aboriginal specific service providers in the area to provide direct clinical care to Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander people and communities. This work will be carried out whilst working towards meeting requirements for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise and work with the Aboriginal community and Aboriginal specific service providers
* Provide direct clinical care to Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander people and communities
* Work towards meeting requirements for registration with AHPRA as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) and be willing to work towards Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) standards to meet Registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner. Additionally, they must have a NSW Drivers Licence and applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role. Corroboration of Aboriginality and community involvement is also essential.
