AECOMs Civil Infrastructure team is growing! We are looking for a Commercial Manager, the successful applicant can be based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand. The Commercial Manager will support the ANZ strategy by the effective management of AECOM's risks and improved commercial business outcomes. The Commercial Manager will engage with ANZ Commercial & Risk Management, Legal and Finance business support functions, Regional Management and project teams. They will be deployed onto bids and projects as required to optimise commercial outcomes for AECOM.
Minimum Requirements
- Contribute to the finalisation of appropriate pricing for key pursuits, taking into account all potential commercial, contractual and technical risks
- Support pursuit teams in pre-contract negotiations with clients on key pursuits
- Provide general commercial and risk management advice/guidance to PMs and project teams on AECOM's risk appetite and compliance with AECOM corporate, contractual and government regulatory requirements.
- Review and provide support to defining proposed rate cards and discounted fee models. Perform assessment of high level tender return through performing bid models that inform the commercial arrangement. Ensure that commercial risk profile against fee is adequate,
- Attend and contribute to Why Go, Go/No Go reviews, bid submission/fee reviews and project progress reviews
- Provide support in development of commercial framework with analysis of risk and reward, type of delivery and fee model.
- Create key term sheets to define and mitigate exposure based on the type of project and contract conditions.
- Provide general subconsultant and/or partner support (financial due diligence, assistance with use of proper agreements and terms).
- Guide and assist with risk modelling and price modelling on selected major pursuits.
- Prepare negotiating strategies and assist or lead negotiations on commercial matters through all stages of designated major/high risk projects, from bidding to service delivery.
- Lead and/or assist with the resolution of contractual disputes and designated major PI Claims.
- Participate in improvement initiatives across the ANZ Commercial and Risk team.
