Senior Litigation Lawyer – Disputes
We are seeking a senior litigation lawyer to join our disputes team working on a complex commercial dispute for our Commonwealth Government client.
About the Team
Our Dispute Resolution & Litigation practice is a dynamic group with a diverse range of interesting work. The team works across state and federal governments, regulated entities, listed entities and SMEs.
About the Role
Work closely with partners, lawyers and paralegals in Canberra and nationally on a critical Commonwealth Government matter. Engage directly with the client and work autonomously as part of a large cohort.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting for companies in regulatory investigations (including by the ACCC)
* Acting for government agencies in respect of judicial review proceedings
* Acting for corporate entities in regulatory dispute matters
* Acting for state and federal governments on a range of advice matters
About You
You are an engaged, driven commercial disputes lawyer with strong communication and drafting skills. You thrive in a busy environment and collaborative culture.
* Operating at Senior Associate level with experience as a commercial litigator in a well-regarded practice.
* Experience in investigations and/or government disputes is a bonus.
* Proven ability to coordinate, manage workflows under pressure and delegate to a team of lawyers and paralegals.
* Experience engaging with individual, corporate and government clients, cultivating trusted relationships.
* Possess superior analytical, research and drafting skills.
* Hold or be eligible to hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
