Property Lawyer – Capital Transactions / Projects (3–7+ PAE)
We are currently working with several well-regarded Brisbane firms across a range of practice areas and levels.
One of these opportunities sits within the property practice of a leading international firm, advising on high-value capital transactions, energy and resources matters, and large-scale projects work across Australia.
The team acts for institutional investors, developers, resources clients and major corporate groups, and is known for the quality and scale of its work, as well as its integrated approach with projects, corporate and finance teams.
The group is well-established in the Brisbane market, with strong deal flow and close alignment with the firm's national and international offices.
The role
Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will be involved in a mix of transactional property and project-related work.
A typical week is likely to include:
* advising on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial and development assets
* supporting large-scale project work across energy, resources and infrastructure sectors
* drafting and negotiating contracts for sale, option agreements and development agreements
* advising on due diligence and transaction structuring
* working closely with corporate, banking and projects teams on integrated transactions
* liaising with clients, consultants and external advisers
* assisting with project delivery issues, tenure arrangements and land access matters
You will have exposure to significant matters from an early stage, with increasing responsibility and client contact as your experience develops.
Representative examples of work have included:
* acting on acquisitions and disposals of large commercial and development assets
* supporting energy and resources projects, including tenure and land access arrangements
* advising on major development projects across residential, industrial and mixed‐use sectors
* assisting institutional investors with portfolio acquisitions and divestmentsworking alongside projects and finance teams on complex, multi‐disciplinary transactions
About you
You will likely have around 3–7+ years' PAE with experience in property, projects or related transactional practice areas.
Candidates from strong mid‐tier, top‐tier or specialist property practices will be considered.
You will also bring:
* solid technical training and drafting skills
