Founded in 2004, HX5 is a fast-growing veteran- and woman-owned company with locations nationwide.HX5 is currently seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :The selected candidate will provide engineering support to NASA's Glenn Research Center (GRC) in support of the Advanced Modular Power Systems (AMPS).
This work involves the design, implementation, fabrication, and assembly of power electronics PCBs and systems.
AMPS has previously developed and tested a string of hardware in a laboratory environment, reaching a technology readiness level (TRL) of 4 (demonstration in a laboratory environment).
The assigned engineer will be working with a team of senior Electrical Engineers to advance the AMPS project to a relevant environment (TRL 6) using parts with a path to flight or even non-qualified space parts.
