We have the opportunity for a medical receptionist to join our expanding and welcoming Skin Cancer Clinic.
ABOUT US:
Northern Skin Doctors, established in 2019 is a locally owned and managed healthcare practice. We take great pride in providing our community with high-quality, patient-centric healthcare. We are currently seeking a friendly, innovative, and empathetic professional to join our expanding practice as a medical receptionist, five days a week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Greeting patients in a warm and welcoming manner
* Taking appointments and managing practitioners’ calendars and client needs
* Responding to face-to-face, telephone, and email inquiries
* Taking payments and processing Medicare and private health claims
* Issuing invoices and receipts
* Maintaining and updating patient records and ensuring confidentiality
* Providing practitioners, management, staff, external providers, and clients with general administrative support
* Assisting in the maintenance of policies, procedures, and practice systems
* Keeping the reception area clean and organised.
ABOUT YOU:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a receptionist or in a similar role (Essential)
* Previous medical practice experience (Highly Regarded)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Essential)
* Familiarity with medical software (Highly Regarded)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
* Excellent time-management and organisational skills
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professional appearance and attitude
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Full unrestricted Australian working rights
