The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a experienced project accountant to support the successful delivery of a major SAP implementation. Reporting to the GM of Finance, this role will ensure financial integrity, compliance, and insightful reporting while partnering closely with Finance, IT, and project stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance leader with strong project accounting and ERP transformation experience who can provide clear analysis and insights to drive decision-making. The responsibilities of you role will include but not be limited to the following.
* Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with business cases and approvals.
* Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, including forecasts, actuals, and variance analysis.
* Monitor capital and operating expenditure classifications for accurate accounting treatment.
* Provide financial input on change requests, scope variations, and project re-baselining.
* Build strong partnerships across Finance, IT, Procurement, and project teams to drive cohesive financial planning.
The Candidate
* Extensive project accounting experience, ideally in large-scale ERP implementations (SAP highly regarded).
* Strong knowledge of capitalisation rules, cost allocation, and relevant accounting standards.
* Advanced Excel and financial reporting/dashboard skills (e.g., Power BI).
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven ability to produce clear, executive-level financial insights and reporting.
